We import large volumes of soft and hardwood timber logs from around the world to feed our state-of-the-art sawmills. Our facility is equipped to process these imported logs into diverse specifications required by various industries throughout the country.
Our sawn timber is not just a commodity but a critical component used in high-stakes sectors such as railways, offshore oil installations, industrial construction, and ship building. By trading in logs and marketing processed timber to plywood industries and sawmills nationwide, we ensure a steady supply chain of premium wood products that meet rigorous industrial standards.
We operate one of the largest ‘Kiln drying’ facilities in the region to address the natural moisture content found in wood. This sophisticated process is essential for ensuring the longevity and utility of the timber. By scientifically removing moisture, we achieve significant reduction in weight and ensure dimensional stability, which prevents warping and shrinking over time.
This process also aids in color preservation and provides a smoother finish for final applications. Furthermore, Kiln drying plays a vital role in the better utilization of secondary grade species, making it an eco-friendly practice that contributes to a sustainable environment.
To maximize durability, we employ advanced Vacuum Pressure Treatment, specifically targeting low-grade or secondary species of timber susceptible to biological attacks. Through this method, wood is chemically treated to provide lasting protection against fungi, insects, and termite infestations.
This is particularly crucial for timber used outdoors in constant contact with earth or water. By extending the life of these woods, we not only benefit the customer with a longer-lasting product but also aid in environmental conservation. Extending the lifecycle of wood reduces the need for frequent replacement, thereby saving overall wood consumption and preserving nature.
